Week 4 of the 2026 Saratoga Race Course meeting comes to a close Sunday with a 10-race card topped by the Grade 2 Honorable Miss Stakes.
A field of seven entered the 6-furlong Honorable Miss, which goes as the eighth race at 5:12 p.m. Grand Job, beaten a nose in the Grade 1 Madison and Grade 2 Bed o’ Roses in her last two starts for trainer Bill Mott, looks strong in the Honorable Miss. She’s 1-2 on the morning line and looks to revert to the form that landed her the Grade 2 Inside Information Stakes in late January at Gulfstream Park.
The Honorable Miss field also includes Skipat Stakes winner Striker Has Dial, Alma North Stakes winner Maida and last-out Parx winner Kappa Kappa.
Sunday’s card also includes a strong optional claimer at 6 1/2 furlongs on the main track that goes as the ninth race. Several of the 10 runners entered wouldn’t have looked too out of place in Saturday’s Grade 2 Alfred G. Vanderbilt Stakes, including Grade 3 Maryland Sprint winner Bring The Smoke, comebacking Grade 3 winner Tip Top Thomas and Senior Officer.
The Saratoga Special reverts to its traditional Wednesday-Saturday publishing schedule this week but the handicappers will continue with their picks online Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays – not including the week of the Hall of Fame, Whitney and Fasig-Tipton sales.
