A history-making event comes to upstate New York later this year with the Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course and The Saratoga Special will be there.
ST Publishing will roll out The Belmont Special, a four-day newspaper during the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival June 6-9 at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Readers can expect the same flavor of The Saratoga Special, just about the final jewel of the Triple Crown and all of its accompanying grandeur and world-class racing.
The paper will be available on and off the track, and online right here at thisishorseracing.com. The Belmont Special promises to be a hit with advertisers, horsemen, bettors, fans, readers and anyone else connected to Thoroughbred racing’s Triple Crown.
The Belmont Stakes moves to Saratoga for 2024 and 2025 as stately Belmont Park becomes state-of the-art Belmont Park.
A monster lineup of racing is on tap and features the headlining final jewel of the Triple Crown and five Grade 1 stakes – the Jaipur, Ogden Phipps, Woody Stephens, Met Mile and Manhattan – and three other graded stakes on the Saturday card. Four stakes are slated for the Thursday and Friday cards, and New York-breds get the chance to shine in Sunday’s Showcase Day program featuring six stakes.
The Eclipse Award-winning team of Joe Clancy, Sean Clancy, Tom Law and Paul Halloran will be on hand along with other members of the summertime squad to cover all the action. The Belmont Special will include in-depth previews, on-track recaps, game-changing handicapping, heart-breaking and heart-warming columns, star-discovering stable tours and more.
