The third week of the Saratoga Race Course meeting comes to a close Sunday with a 10-race card topped by the Grade 2 Bowling Green Stakes going long on the turf.
A field of seven entered the 11-furlong grass exam, including Godolphin’s multiple Grade 2 winner Silver Knott, multiple Grade 1-placed Soldier Rising and Grade 1 Manhattan third-place finisher Ohana Honor. The Bowling Green goes as the ninth race on the card with post time at 5:45 p.m.
The Saratoga Special handicappers are back for Day 14 of the meet, hoping for some winners and looking to inch closer to the black. Jessica Paquette is already there, with a positive return of investment of $5.80 based on a $2 win bet for all her picks (that’s 132 races!) heading into Sunday’s card.
