Week 3 of the 2026 Saratoga Race Course meeting rolls along Friday with a 10-race card topped by a competitive renewal of the $150,000 De La Rose Stakes for fillies and mares on the turf.
The 1-mile De La Rose, restricted to 4-year-olds and up which have not won a graded stakes in 2024-25, attracted a field of 10 and four runners entered for main track only. The De La Rose goes as the ninth race at 5:45 p.m.
Sandtrap, the 3-1 favorite, leads a group that last ran in the Grade 1 Just A Game Stakes on the Belmont Day undercard. She finished sixth in that 1-mile event, while fourth-place Deep Satin and fifth And One More Time are also in the De La Rose field.
The Saratoga Special handicappers rolled out their first day of picks in print Thursday and will return in The Power Grid for Saturday’s edition. Meanwhile, picks will appear online on days we don’t print the paper – typically Thursdays (after next week), Fridays and Sundays.
