People’s Choice: Icabad Crane wins crown

It’s official. Icabad Crane is “America’s Most Wanted Thoroughbred.” Graham and Anita Motion’s up-and-coming event horse bested competitors from nine other disciplines Sunday at Pimlico Race Course during the Retired Racehorse Project’s Thoroughbred Makeover and National Symposium.

New Challenge for Icabad Crane

Icabad Crane is continuing his steady progress up the ladder in three-day eventing.  He makes his debut at training level today at the Fair Hill Summer Horse Trials with Olympian Phillip Dutton in the saddle. During a recent visit, Dutton had plenty to say about Icabad Crane – his education, his work ethic, and his ever-burgeoning fan base.

Now he’s an ‘event horse’

Just back from international competition at the Luhmuhlen CCI four-star in Germany, Phillip Dutton was admittedly pleased and impressed with Icabad Crane’s progress over the past few weeks.
