The final week of racing at the 2017 Saratoga Race Course meeting gets underway Wednesday with a 10-race card topped by the $100,000 With Anticipation for 2-year-olds on the grass.
A field of 11 is entered for the Grade 3 With Anticipation, which goes as the ninth race with a post time of 5:40 p.m. Todd Pletcher, deadlocked in the trainer standings with Chad Brown, sends out the duo of Earth and Seabhac while Bill Mott also runs a pair in Irish Territory and Trumpi.
The Saratoga Special handicappers are rolling along and ready for the final six days of the meet. John Shapazian holds down the top spot with 105 winners from 341 races – a strike rate of 30.8 percent. Charles Bedard is second with 99 winners, while Gaile Fitzgerald (90) and Tom Law (83) need a miracle to crack the top two.
