The Saratoga Special for August 9

- -

Fasig-Tipton’s annual yearling sale jumped out to a fast start as an Uncle Mo colt brought $1.5 million to lead the way over three others at $1 million plus. West Point Thoroughbreds was part of the winning bid on the colt bred by Summer Wind Farm and consigned by Lane’s End. There were plenty of other fireworks as statistics all improved.

Plus we catch up with Maryland’s Northview Stallion Station’s first Saratoga consignment in years and take a Fasig-Tipton Stable Tour with Cherie DeVaux.

Special thanks to our online edition sponsor Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners.

While we’re here, think about joining The Special’s Readers Club for 2022. You’ll get some cool swag and early email notice of every edition. Totally optional, but we’d love to have you.
