Time to think Travers.

Yes, we’re only 11 days into the Saratoga meet. But we have two big Travers preps on tap this weekend, starting with Friday’s Curlin Stakes and culminating with Saturday’s loaded Grade 2 Jim Dandy.

The Curlin and a field of nine highlight Friday’s card, which hopefully won’t be as impacted by the rain as Thursday’s program. The forecast looks good and so do the fields.

Here’s your Special for Friday, July 29.

Worth Repeating

By the Numbers
4: Victories in the Amsterdam by Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher, one shy of Steve Asmussen’s record. Pletcher runs 2021 champion 2-year-old male Corniche and My Prankster in Sunday’s edition, while Asmussen sends out last year’s Grade 1 Hopeful winner Gunite
