Joe Clancy started his journalism career at the University of Delaware in 1986 or so, with a first byline about the presidential bid of Pete du Pont (the campaign obviously did not go well). Since then, he's covered high school sports, college sports, semi-pro baseball, the lifeguard Olympics, a pumpkin chunking competition, the odd Phillies and Orioles games and any number of topics involving Thoroughbred racing – for The Saratoga Special, Steeplechase Times, Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred, Daily Racing Form, The Irish Field and others. He's been published in the New York Times, the Philaelphia Inquirer, the Baltimore Sun, and also The Whale newspaper, the Cecil Whig newspaper and The Softball News. He is a writer, editor, publisher and owner of ST Publishing, Inc., parent company of the thisishorseracing.com Internet site. In 2012, he was named editor of Mid-Atlantic Thoroughbred, a monthly magazine published by the Maryland Horse Breeders Association. He lives in Fair Hill, Md. with his wife Sam, sons Ryan, Jack and Nolan, and their dog Katie.

Sean Clancy is a writer, editor, publisher and owner of ST Publishing, Inc., parent company of the thisishorseracing.com Internet site. It seems as though that would be enough for one man (!!!), but he also runs Sean Clancy Bloodstock and Riverdee Stable, specializing in turf and steeplechase horses and consults for Irish Thoroughbred Marketing, promoting Irish-breds and Irish racing to American owners, trainers, breeders and fans. A former champion steeplechase jockey, Sean rode Eclipse Award winner Flat Top, bought and sold two-time Eclipse Award winner Good Night Shirt and won his own Eclipse Award for writing when chronicling an estate auction of Hall of Fame trainer Sidney Watters in 2008. He lives in Middleburg, Va. with his wife Anne and son Miles, but can be found wherever horses run.

The racing bug bit Tom Law in his formative teenage years, as it often does to those who grow up in Saratoga Springs. Other sports that involve finish lines were equally compelling—specifically cross country running and track and field—and the two intertwined at different points of his life, sometimes so much he was forced to leave The Pink Sheet and Daily Racing Form at home when they become a distraction during cross country practice warm-ups at Saratoga High. The distraction eventually became a career and it took him from a sports writing job at The Saratogian, where he covered racing seasonally in upstate New York to an award-winning career as a writer and editor for Thoroughbred Times in Lexington, Kentucky. Tom is managing editor of ST Publishing, Inc., parent company of the thisishorseracing.com Internet site, and relocated to his hometown in early April.
A Big Thing he's Written: Bill Leggett Breeders' Cup Award winner, "Fourth bullet hits target."
